What I want to do as City Commissioner
Surfing and a love for community brought me to Cocoa Beach, and I immediately knew I was home. I’m raising my daughter here because of the close-knit, safe environment and excellent schools. As a high-energy, goal-oriented team player, I stay deeply involved in city processes and am passionate about preserving our beaches and community for future generations.
I want to be commissioner in order to help us discern what is most beneficial for the city. I will do everything in my power to help our city grow in a positive direction, using my professional insight to serve as your City Commissioner.
ENFORCE ORDINANCES
Enforcing established ordinances to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for the residents and visitors alike. We need our visitors, but our residents deserve a healthy balance that supports economic growth.
CREATE MORE CITY REVENUE
Coming up with creative ways to bring more revenue to the city and to continue reducing the city debt. Focusing on what needs to be repaired within the city before new projects take place.

KEEP ALL FIRST RESPONDERS
Keeping the lifeguards, firefighters, and police properly funded is extremely important. Cutting any one of these departments is asking for disaster. Residents and the visitors deserve to be protected and first responders deserve proper salaries.
PROVIDE VISITOR INFORMATION
Providing more information to visitors about our city, beach rules, beach etiquette, and the dangers of the ocean. Although I am against signage on the beach my goal is to find more effective ways to communicate much needed information to the visitors.
BEAUTIFY THE CITY
Reducing trash on the beach and throughout the city by enforcing ordinances and having more trash management for big weekend events. Beautify the city’s infrastructure by repairing or updating not starting new projects we can’t afford.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES
Creating a work program for high school students in which they can learn about various businesses and departments throughout the city.

ABOUT ME
Born and raised in rural South Georgia, in a very small but close-knit community. I also lived in and traveled to several different countries throughout my childhood. I excelled in athletics and earned a full athletic scholarship to college for distance running. In 2007, I moved to Florida to chase my dreams of surfing and professional running. The best day of my life came in 2010, when I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. I moved to Cocoa Beach with my daughter in 2018, after living in Melbourne Beach. Today, I live with my daughter, Savannah, and my two dogs, Daffy and Tokyo.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Clayton State University.
- Licensed realtor in the State of Florida, having graduated from the Florida Real Estate School.
- Cocoa Beach Citizens Academy (2024)
- I hold several certifications in First Aid and CPR.
- Former American Red Cross certified lifeguard and swim instructor.
- Former ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer.
Experience
I started lifeguarding as a teenager in high school and kept it up through college. I later worked as a swim instructor and lifeguard for the U.S. Navy in Yokosuka, Japan. After moving to Florida, I began racing for Wild Side Online, which became one of my long-time running sponsors. I've also worked various service industry jobs, including as a beach attendant at beach rentals. Eventually I started my own race organization company, Underground Runners, Inc., and put on three races of my own. Along the way, I've coached parkour at Tumbleweeds Gymnastics and trained clients at Orange Theory Fitness, and worked as a surfing instructor and kayak tour guide. Today, I own and operate Space Coast Beach Rentals, LLC (Coconuts on the Beach) and work as a real estate agent with Coconut Properties Florida Real Estate, Inc., Realty Space Coast.
Hobbies and Achievements
I love spending time with my daughter, traveling, surfing, running, kayaking, skateboarding with my dogs, playing guitar and piano, painting, and cooking. I'm a DII two-time All-American athlete in cross country and track, and I've received several awards and medals for my running achievements. I hold the Marathon Bahamas record with a time of 2 hours and 54 minutes. I'm also a successful entrepreneur and business owner.
